There is nothing in life more important or challenging than relationships. As we go throughout life we interact with partners, family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances and strangers on a daily basis and this can bring with it great joy and happiness. Over the past 4 years of working with couples, families, and individuals it is very clear that these relationships and encounters can also be trying and stressful. No matter who you are and what you are going through we all need a little help sometimes. No one is without problems and if you’re reading this you’d like to do something about yours.
My passion lies in working with couples, parents, and chronic illness. I have worked hard to become a Level 2 Gottman Therapist (www.gottman.com) and have extensive training in both couples and parenting work and programs, but I adore working with people from all backgrounds with a variety of needs. As a chronic pain/illness warrior myself I can offer fellow warriors the best of personal and professional knowledge to help you live life first and have pain second and even offer a highly accessible office environment with comfort-enhancing features like ice and heat packs, a variety of seating options, and blankets and fans. When we partner together you will find non-judgmental listening, caring support, and a healthy dose of honest feedback and challenges to help you achieve your goals. I work from theoretical backgrounds of narrative therapy, attachment theory, and cognitive behavioral therapy, but I always fit my approach to my client and the situation. One size-fits-all doesn’t apply to therapy any more than it does to clothes!
